Disability Sport
The Sport & Active Recreation Framework for Perth & Kinross specifically aims to widen participation by attracting everybody to take part in physical activity, sport and active recreation including people with a disability.
We work with local partners Perth & Kinross Disability Sport, Sports Development, Active Schools, Perth Strathtay Harriers and St Johnstone Football Club all aim to develop sustainable, inclusive opportunities for people with physical, learning and sensory disabilities.
Perth & Kinross Disability Sport is a local branch of Scottish Disability Sport and its aims include co-ordinating, developing and promoting sports and physical activity amongst people with a disability in addition to strengthening and extending the network of contacts in the Perth and Kinross area.
Sports which have a particular focus on improving participation include swimming, athletics, boccia, football, football, cricket and tennis.
