Lead Sport - Young Ambassadors
A crucial component of sportscotland’s efforts to develop young people as leaders in sport. Annually, two pupils from each secondary school are chosen to serve as Young Ambassadors and attend a conference in September. Their role is to promote, motivate and inspire their peers to engage in sports within their schools, clubs and local communities.
Girls For Change
Aimed at addressing the inequality in sports participation between girls and boys, particularly in secondary schools, Girls for Change addresses barriers teenage girls feel can prevent them from taking part in exercise. Girls involved go on to encourage, promote and champion physical activity in their schools and share the important message that exercise can bring many benefits to all.
