Section 2: About our Company
Live Active Leisure is an ‘arm’s length external organisation’ with Perth and Kinross Council as Sole Member and is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status (Registered Charity No. SC000175), Registered in Scotland by the Registrar of Companies for Scotland, (Registered Company No. SCO42641), Incorporated under the Companies Act 1985 on 01/10/1965 at Companies House, Edinburgh.
Live Active Leisure was established as a non-profit distributing company, to operate and manage sport and leisure facilities 1st October 1965.
The venues managed by the Company are:
• Perth Leisure Pool
• Bell’s Sports Centre
• Live Active Loch Leven
• Live Active Atholl
• Live Active Blairgowrie
• Blairgowrie Community Campus
• Strathearn Community Campus
• North Inch Community Campus
• Loch Leven Community Campus
• Breadalbane Community Campus
Live Active Leisure is also registered as a charity by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator under the Charities and Trustees Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.
As a body entered on the Register, Live Active Leisure Limited may refer to itself as a ‘charity’, a ‘charitable body’, a ‘registered charity’ or a ‘charity registered in Scotland’. It has been set up under the law of Scotland, and is managed wholly here; it may also refer to itself as a ‘Scottish charity’ or a ‘registered Scottish charity’ with the Charity No. SC000175.
