Strathearn Sports Network
Clubs in the Crieff, Comrie, Auchterarder and surrounding areas are warmly invited to attend the inaugural Strathearn Sports Network event!
The event is headlined by Dr Elanor Cormack, Sports & Exercise Psychologist, who is delivering an introduction to sport psychology for clubs.
Come along and have a think about thinking!
The session will be interactive and is designed to give club members some quick insights and takeaways to apply, whatever your sport. It will focus on:
- Understanding better how we interpret our world around us and why this matters in sport.
- We often pour energy into worrying about things we have no control over. You’ll learn how to identify what to focus your energy on for success, whether that’s a performance or a project.
- Fear of failure is often a barrier to trying new skills, taking different approaches, or showing our best performance. The session will explore how to combat fear of failure in sport (and life).
The session is suitable for anyone involved in sport at any level – coaches, athletes, officials, or club management.
Following the sport psychology session, there will be the chance to hear about current opportunities within Live Active Leisure's Sport Development Team, Active Schools and Perth and Kinross Disability Sport.
We are also interested to hear from clubs about what they would like from future Strathearn Sport Network meetings.
