Exciting Updates to the Dewars Centre Fitness Class Programme
We’ve been listening to your feedback since opening our fitness facilities at Dewars Centre, and we’re thrilled to bring you some exciting updates! Whether you’re a long-time class attendee or are looking for something new to try, our refreshed programme has something for everyone.
From the debut of a fan favourite to the addition of more Pilates and Active Women classes, here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming.

BodyCombat Joins the Programme!
You asked, we’ve delivered – Les Mills BodyCombat is making its debut at Dewars Centre! This high-energy, martial arts-inspired workout is perfect for anyone looking to punch, kick, and sweat their way to fitness. The best part? It’s totally non-contact and no experience is needed. Our amazing instructors will guide you through moves inspired by Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira, and Kung Fu.
Tuesdays 12:30 – 13:15

Thursdays 19:00 – 19:45
Fridays 18:00 – 18:45 (virtual)
Sundays 10:00 – 10:45 (virtual)
Instructor-led classes take place in Studio 1 and virtual classes take place in Studio 2.
Active Women – Now with Daytime Options
We listened to your feedback on this one too! We’re delighted to add two new daytime Active Women sessions to our programme, one of which is on a Saturday for those who can’t make it during the week.
This women-only class offers a full-body workout in a supportive environment and is suitable for all fitness levels. Work on becoming fitter, stronger and healthier alongside like-minded women.

Can’t make it to an instructor-led class? No problem. We’ve added more Les Mills virtual classes to the programme. These classes bring the energy and expertise of world-class Les Mills instructors to the big screen, motivating you just as much as if they were in the room.

We know how much you love Pilates, so we’ve added even more sessions to fit every lifestyle. Plus, if you’re looking to improve flexibility, tone muscles, and relieve stress, our low impact Stretch & Tone class offers all the same benefits as Pilates.

New Mum and Baby Class
Getting back into exercise after having a baby can feel daunting, which is why we’ve created a class that’s specifically designed for new mums. This low-impact, moderate-intensity circuit workout will help you ease back into exercise, all while keeping your little one by your side.
Wednesdays 11:45 – 12:30, Studio 1
Metafit Returns
If you’re tight on time but want maximum results, Metafit is for you. This 30-minute, bodyweight-only HIIT workout is designed to push your limits and keep your metabolism firing long after you’ve finished.

How to Book a Class
Ready to get started? Here’s what you need to know:
The new programme commences on Monday 3rd February 2025, with classes starting to be bookable for Fitness Members from Sunday 19th January at 21:00.
Fitness Members can book classes 14-days in advance, Live Active subscription holders can book 7 days in advance, and non-members can book on the day.
Classes can be booked via the Live Active app which is available from Google Play and the App Store, online or by calling us on 01738 454700.
