UNISON has called on all school-based members to take strike action beginning next week (October 21) in a national dispute over pay. This action is planned to last for two weeks and involves Perth & Kinross Council support staff in schools.

These staff play an important role in the safe operation and management of our community campuses.  Therefore, during the period of industrial action there is the possibility that there will be no reception function at the following Campuses:

• Loch Leven Community Campus
• North Inch Community Campus

We will not know the full impact of the industrial action until it commences, as a result the above venues will be open for the following activities only, on Monday 21st October.

• Block Booked, Club/Group activity – Indoor and Outdoor
• Instructor / Coach led activity including Swimming Lessons, Gymnastics and Fitness Classes 

We will reintroduce further activity as soon as we are able to do so, this may be at different times in different venues.

How Your Local Venue Is Affected?

Loch Leven Community Campus

• No access to fitness gym or casual sportshall activities (e.g., badminton).
• Alternative: Swimming, squash, and fitness gym are available at Live Active Loch Leven.

North Inch Community Campus

• No access to fitness gym or casual sportshall activities (e.g., badminton, squash).
• Alternative: Fitness gyms are available at Dewars Centre and Perth Leisure Pool. Glenearn Community Campus will continue to offer casual badminton.
