Gymnastics Conduct & Rules
We ask all our Gymnasts and Wee Springers to adhere to a set of rules, including a dress code for health and safety purposes but also to ensure your child has the best possible experience.
- Scan your Live active card at reception when entering the venue - this allows us to know who has come in to the building.
- Whilst waiting outside the hall, children should be respectful of other facility users and refrain from practicing skills or running around. Please line up as required.
- Any child that has an injury that will prevent them from fully taking part, are asked not to attend. If in doubt, please contact the coaching team in advance.
- Any children that are late more than 10 minutes from the start of the session will not be allowed to take part due to missing the warm-up as it is an important part of the class - preparing the body for the activity.
- Suitable clothing must be worn to class, please see our dress code for details.
- To prevent disruption during the class, please ensure your child has been to the toilet before the class begins.
- Gymnastics is thirsty work! Gymnasts should bring a bottle of water or still juice with them to the class.
- Gymnasts must follow instructions from the coaches. Gymnasts should be respectful of the coaches and their peers throughout the class. Failure to act in an appropriate and safe manner may result in the participants removal from the class.
- Younger siblings of those taking part in our Wee Springers class must remain in their pushchair or in a baby carrier. Due to limits on space in the hall, one parent to one child is permitted on the mat at any one time.
Drop Off/Pick Up
Children aged P1 – P3 must be dropped off and collected within the venue by a responsible adult aged over 16, they will not be permitted to leave the session unaccompanied.
For P4 – P7 children, parents are encouraged to come into the building to drop off and collect your child however we understand that some, especially in our rural communities walk to and from class alone and so are permitted to leave the facility without a guardian or can make their way to the car park. We would encourage parents to communicate with the coaching team if this is to be the case.
