The Blairgowrie Cluster Tennis Festival served up a smashing success as P3-4 pupils from local primary schools came together for a day of fun, learning, and friendly competition. Held on 25th May, the event brought together 82 enthusiastic young players who showcased their newly acquired tennis skills in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
The festival marked the culmination of a year-long tennis coaching programme delivered by the dedicated team at Blairgowrie Tennis Club, in collaboration with Live Active Leisure’s Active Schools team. Thanks to their commitment, an impressive 340 pupils across the Blairgowrie cluster have been introduced to the sport, developing both their skills and confidence on the court.
This inspiring initiative was made possible through generous funding from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN), whose support not only enabled the festival but also provided some pupils with the opportunity to attend Blairgowrie Tennis Club free of charge.
