Gymnastics FAQs

We Answer your Most Frequently Asked Questions About Our Kids Gymnastics Services

Got questions about our gymnastics programme? Our gymnastics for kids FAQs cover everything you need to know, from what to wear to how to book a class.

Booking can be made online through our HomePortal which can be accessed here. If you have difficulty logging in or booking classes, please contact [email protected]

Gymnasts should wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement. Leotards, shorts, or fitted t-shirts work best.

Loose clothing, jeans, dresses, or items with zips and buttons are not permitted for safety reasons.

Check our Gymnastics Dress Code for more details.

Our classes cover everything from basic moves to advanced skills. Children start with forward rolls, cartwheels, and balances before progressing to backflips, somersaults, and beam routines, all at their own pace.

We have a fantastic range of equipment across our Perth & Kinross facilities, including beam, vaults, bars, trampette, rings, mushroom, and parallel bars. Younger gymnasts enjoy our Wee Springers sessions, using Pre-School Gym-Time equipment alongside fun apparatus like our Air Floors and Air Track.

Gymnasts should bring a bottle of still water or diluting juice to stay hydrated. If your child uses an inhaler or needs medication, please ensure they bring it along. Don’t forget their Live Active leisure card to scan on arrival.

Due to space restrictions, parents are unable to stay to watch classes. However, we hold a special end-of-term session where families are invited to watch and celebrate their child’s progress. We also share videos and photos through our Live Active Leisure Gymnastics Facebook Group to keep you updated.

During school breaks, we switch to our exciting Gymnastics Holiday Camps. These camps are packed with fun activities like gymnastics, trampolining, tumble, Nerf battles, and our popular Mini Ninja Warrior sessions. These camps are perfect for new and experienced gymnasts alike.
