Football FAQs
We Answer Some of Your Most Frequently Asked Questions About Our Kids Football
Our kids football sessions are designed to be fun, engaging, and accessible to all abilities. Here’s everything you need to know:
Each session follows our ‘Community Football Curriculum.’ Children build confidence, develop new skills, and progress at their own pace.
Sessions include technical warm-ups, small-sided games, and themed activities, focusing on ball control, teamwork, and agility.
Our Mini Kicker programme (18-36 months) involves parent participation with fun equipment like balloons, ladders, and tunnels.
Children should wear comfortable sportswear like shorts, joggers, or t-shirts — no jeans or combat trousers.
Football strips are optional. For outdoor sessions, football boots are allowed. Indoor sessions require clean trainers.
Shin pads are recommended but not essential. In winter, outdoor players should wear warm gear like hats and gloves.
Children should bring a water bottle filled with still water or diluted juice to stay hydrated.
If your child requires medication like an inhaler, they must bring it to every session. In addition, please make a member of staff aware of this medication when you drop your child off.
For outdoor sessions, weather-appropriate clothing is essential.
Parent viewing rules vary across venues:
- Live Active Blairgowrie: No parent viewing due to limited space.
- Loch Leven & North Inch Community Campuses: Benches are provided for seated viewing.
Bookings require a Live Active Leisure Card. If your child doesn’t have one, our reception team will assist you.
You can book sessions at these venues:
- Perth City: North Inch Community Campus (also handles Auchterarder payments).
- Kinross: Live Active Loch Leven & Loch Leven Community Campus.
- Crieff: Strathearn Community Campus.
- Blairgowrie: Live Active Blairgowrie.
- Highlands: Atholl Leisure Centre & Breadalbane Community Campus (covers Ballinluig Pitches & Dunkeld MUGA).
Bookings are paid per term, ensuring your child’s place and priority rebooking for the next term.
Parents receive an email about the 2-week rebooking period, including the cost and payment details.
Once paid, your child’s spot is secured. Ensure we have your up-to-date email to avoid missing notifications.
If you miss the rebooking window, your child will return to the waiting list if no spaces are available.
If sessions are full, our waiting list process is simple:
- Check availability at your preferred venue.
- If no spaces are available, you can request to join the waiting list.
- Once a space is available, reception will contact you.
- Confirm the place by returning the call/email and paying at reception within the provided time.
Contact the reception team at your child’s venue to check for alternative class availability.
