We’re committed to supporting our local athletes so that they can fulfil their potential and achieve success.
We offer free access to our state-of-the-art facilities through our Talented Athlete Scheme, and with support from The Gannochy Trust, we deliver an Emerging Athlete Programme to support local athletes to perform at their best.
Talented Athlete Scheme
Providing access to our state-of-the art facilities and pools we provide FREE access to all our venues, helping our local athletes to prepare to win, without the worry of having to pay for facilities to train in.
- The athlete must be resident of Perth and Kinross and/or a member of a Perth and Kinross Sports Club
- The sport the athlete participates in must be a recognised NGB by sportscotland
- The athlete must represent their sport at any of the following standards
- Regional Institute of Sport
- Scottish Institute of Sport
- Scottish/British/European/World Championship title holder
- Scottish or Great Britain squad member
- The application must be endorsed by the relevant sport governing body, sportscotland area institute, or squad coach

Emerging Athlete Programme
Working in partnership with the Gannochy Trust, local clubs and national governing bodies of sport, the Emerging Athlete Programme has been designed to create a holistic approach to athlete development.
We provide individualised training programmes to support local athletes – competing at regional, national or international level – so they can perform at their best.
The EAP is delivered from our state-of-the-art gym at Dewars Centre. We provide the following for each athlete:
- Personalised strength and conditioning (S&C) programme
- Two coached S&C training sessions per week
- 1:1 athlete/coach meetings
- Online learning ‘Compete with Character’ modules
- Athlete life nutrition workshop
- Athlete life sport psychology workshop
- Talented Athlete Scheme Membership
The EAP operates 50 weeks of the year with a 2 week break over festive holidays.
The 50 weeks is split into 3 blocks with each block costing £50.00 per athlete, per block.
Our aim is to provide each athlete with a solid foundation that will allow transition to Regional/National Scottish Institute of Sport programmes.

Sub-Emerging Athlete Programme
The Sub- Emerging Athlete Programme is also delivered at our state-of-the-art gym at Dewars Centre, and has been designed primarily for younger people, to help them to perform at their best, and support them to transition to regional sport specific programmes in the future.
- Group strength and conditioning (S&C) programme
- One coached group S&C training session per week
- Online learning ‘Compete with Character’ modules
- Athlete life nutrition workshop
- Athlete life sport psychology workshop
- Talented Athlete Scheme Membership if eligible
The Sub-EAP programme operates 50 weeks of the year with a 2 week break over festive holidays.
