Swimming

Whether you’re looking for fun family day out, a quiet swim, some serious training or want to learn to swim, Live Active Blairgowrie caters to all. And the best part…. kids under 5, swim for FREE!

We offer casual swimming and lane swimming daily, plus fun drop-in sessions.

We operate a Child Admissions Policy for all children under 8 years old.

Lane Swimming

Start your day with an early morning. Scheduled Lane sessions taking place throughout the day. Click the button below to view the timetable / See below to view the timetable.

Family Fun

Every Friday night, kids 8 years+ can enjoy our Friday Night Fun sessions, with music, inflatables and fun and on Sunday bring the whole family for a swim where everyone can enjoy the pool and pool toys.

Gym Induction

To get started, you’ll need a Gym Induction. If you are comfortable with the gym, opt for our quick online option.

Alternatively, if you’re new to the gym we offer an in-person induction. You’ll get a tour, information on the right equipment for you, and a fitness plan to help get you started.

Our friendly and qualified staff are always on hand to answer any queries you might have.

Online Induction

All our gyms are included in our standard Live Active membership.

Wellbeing Activities

The Live Active Wellbeing Team support everyone in the community to be more active, more often.

Our Activity Referral sessions are tailored to those with medical conditions and find it difficult to exercise. These sessions give customers the opportunity to improve their physical and mental health, in order to see long term changes to health or medical condition.

The sessions are structured for the individual and an approachable and qualified instructor is on hand to offer guidance and motivation.

If you think Activity Referral is for you, then please speak to your GP or Health Practitioner for a referral.

Casual Bookings:

Weekend Family Sportshall Offer

Enjoy a game of badminton, table tennis and more with the whole family for only £7.20 at any participating Live Active sportshall venue.

Available Saturday and Sunday every weekend, and every day during school holidays!

Swimming Lessons

Here at Live Active, we are proud to be providers of Scottish Swimming's National Learn to Swim Programme. Swimming is a life skill with huge health and social benefits and being able to do so unlocks the opportunity to take part in many different aquatic activities!

Led by qualified instructors, our lessons are tailored to improve skills and confidence in the water, ensuring that every swimmer feels at ease. Over the years we’ve helped thousands of babies, children, teens and adults to learn to swim.

We offer a wide range of swimming lessons for all ages and abilities:

  • Early Years: Adult & Baby, Adult & Toddler
  • Pre-School: Beginners, Improvers, Advanced
  • Swim Skills: Levels 1 – 4 for school-age children
  • Club Ready: Preparing swimmers for competitive clubs
  • Adults: Beginner lessons for ages 16+ looking to improve their skills
  • 1-to-2 Lessons: Personalised lessons with just two people per instructor, perfect for those needing extra support.
  • Additional Support Needs Swimming: Lessons suitable for those with additional support needs

Live Active Blairgowrie Junior Gym

Junior Gym

Young people, in S1 aged 12 – 15 years can access our gyms at any time if they are accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian based on a ratio of 1 adult to 3 young people.

Under 16’s are required to complete a Welcome Session with an instructor who will show them how to use the gym equipment. Under 16’s are limited to the use of fixed weights and cardiovascular equipment.

We offer Gymnastics and Football sessions for children here at Live Active Blairgowrie.

Mini Kickers

Mini-kickers classes are fun participation sessions that provide the ideal first step on a young person’s football journey. Teamwork, decision making, confidence and communication are just some of the skills taught within the mini-kickers curriculum.

Our Mini-Kickers classes are split into two age groups to enhance development at each stage:

Our 3-5 years-old classes are 45 minutes long and give players the opportunity for independent activity via our coach-led sessions. Coaches will deliver our own pre-school curriculum, which introduces basic football skills whilst encouraging imagination, fun and, of course, scoring those goals!

Our football sessions for children aged P1 – P7 will teach your child the core football skills, passing, dribbling, shooting as well as how to play matches. These energetic sessions are a great way for children to play the nations favourite pastime and meet new friends along the way.

Gymnastic Sessions

Live Active Leisure Gymnastic sessions offer your child the opportunity to develop their gymnastic skills using equipment such as floor, vault, beam, trampette and many more. These vibrant sessions are delivered by our experienced Scottish Gymnastics qualified Coaching Team who ensure each session is fun and energetic as well as being developmental. For P1-P3.
