As part of its ongoing commitment to community safety and wellbeing, Live Active Leisure is proud to have hosted a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course during the Royal Life Saving Society’s (RLSS) Drowning Prevention Week, resulting in 5 newly qualified lifeguards.
The course, delivered at Perth Leisure Pool, provided participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to become certified lifeguards. The NPLQ is the industry standard for pool lifeguarding in the UK, covering vital areas such as water rescue, CPR, and first aid.
Maya Suchomska, one of the newly qualified lifeguards, commented “Completing the NPLQ course has given me the confidence and skills to act swiftly in an emergency. It’s reassuring to know I can make a real difference in keeping people safe in and around the water.”
