In addition to the wide variety of programmed activities that take place within our venues, a number of local clubs also use our facilities. A list has been provided for your information, along with contact details. Please contact the club directly for more details.
Campus: Kinross Cavaliers Basketball Club
Kinross Cavaliers Basketball Club provides coaching to boys and girls in Primary 6 and 7, S1 and S2. Our aim is to develop and improve your basketball skills throughout the year, with an emphasis on keeping fit and having fun. You don’t have to be an expert, you will be made welcome even if you have never played before.
We train in the large Games Hall at Loch Leven Community Campus, Kinross. The sessions cost £2.50 per week with a one-off annual payment of £10.00. You will receive a purple Kinross Cavaliers strip for the duration of your time at the Club, which should be worn during training.
Kinross Cavaliers link closely with Perth Phoenix Basketball Club who compete competitively at national league level. We also work closely with the Perth & Kinross Under 15 development club who train weekly, and would warmly welcome you any Friday evening from 6.00 – 8.00pm at Perth Academy. Campus: Kinross Cricket Club
Offers cricket coaching and matches for boys and girls, men and women. Children and young people aged 7 to 15 are very welcome to junior outdoor sessions which run from April to September at Kinross House on Monday evenings from 6.15pm to 8.00pm. Indoor coaching is held at Loch Leven Community Campus from October to March. Senior training for male players aged 16+ is on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm and a separate Girls and Women’s section also trains independently of the men on Thursdays from 6.30pm.
New members are very welcome at the club. No experience, knowledge of cricket, equipment or base fitness is required. All coaches are UKCC qualified and have undertaken an Enhanced Disclosure. Coaching is provided for beginners through to advanced level players.
Campus: Baton Twirling
This class consist of baton twirling with gymnastics and dance, it teaches hand/eye co-ordination and also helps girls to keep fit. It helps its members to gain confidence and encourages team work as well as gaining individual skills. We compete all over the country and perform at fetes in the local area.
The club is open to girls and boys from 4 years upwards, there is no maximum, older girls are particularly encouraged to try this sport, and we have girls in their 20’s.
Loch Leven: Kinross Squash Club
Live Active Loch Leven is home to the Kinross Squash Club. The club runs a variety of activities suitable for the keenest squash enthusiast to social players and beginners including:

• Annual Tournaments
• Junior Section
New members are always welcome and contact information can be obtained from the centre.
Monthly Mini Leagues
The main playing activity within the club is the monthly leagues. Players have a month to play their allotted opponents and at the end of the month the top and bottom scoring players move up and down the leagues. This is a great way to play and meet a variety of squash players and generally improve your game.
Monthly Club Night
The club night takes place on the last Friday of the month during squash season from 8.00pm to 10.00pm and takes the form of a handicap competition with prizes for the winners. Newcomers interested in finding out more about the club are always welcome at this event.
The Club Team plays in the Fife Squash League on a Thursday night during the squash season.
These currently take the form of a scratch tournament at the start of the season and a handicapped tournament at the end.

Loch Leven: Kinross Otters
Kinross Otters Amateur Swimming Club aims to promote further learning and coaching of swimming as a sport which provides health, fitness and fun, combined with a discipline of competitive events. If you are interested in joining Kinross Otters please check the noticeboard at the pool for the next Open Assessment date.
Children can join the junior club from the age of 6 and on completion of level 7 of the Scottish Swimming Learn to Swim Programme or an equivalent. Older children may enter the club at a higher level, following assessment by the Head Coach. The days and times of all training sessions are displayed on the Kinross Otters Notice board, situated by reception.
There is also an Adult Otters Masters Club for those aged 18 or over.This session is held on a Tuesday night 8pm-9pm.

Campus: Kinross Volleyball Club
Volleyball is the ideal sport for both men and women with its high social component. The club operates junior teams in the Perth & District Recreational League and adult teams in the Perth & District Premier League. Kinross teams are currently the league champions of both leagues and cup winners of the Premier League.
The club also enters teams into the Scottish Open Volleyball Tournament, the largest tournament of its kind in the UK attracting over 100 teams from the UK and abroad. The Scottish Open takes place over the last weekend in May. The club also participates in European Tournaments twice now finishing in bronze medal position in the De Haan August tournament (Belgium).
