The Perth and Kinross Gymnastics Championships was held at Bells Sports Centre on Sunday 18th June 2017 which saw more than 350 gymnasts taking part, leading to a very exciting day of competition. The competition was open to gymnasts from Auchterarder, Perth and Tay Valley Gymnastics Clubs together with gymnasts from Live Active Leisure competing at three different levels – Foundation, Beginners and Intermediate.

The competition was organised by Perth and Kinross Gymnastics Development Group in partnership with Live Active Leisure. Special guests Adventure Circus were also in attendance to give the gymnasts and families a taste of Circus skills, with many trying the Trapeze, Hoops and Aerial Silks when not competing.

Gymnastics officer Laura Munro said: “All the children competing have been working extremely hard to prepare for the competition. Their attitude and commitment is admirable with the judges commenting on the high standard of competition and strong performances throughout the day. Congratulations to all who took part as well to our Perth & Kinross Champions”.

Many thanks to all the volunteers and coaches who helped on the day and to the large number of spectators who came along to support the gymnasts.
